Weird... due to Aussie influence I have done something dirty.... I joined facebook. Freakin addictive but good times... but exactly the sort of thing I would have figured I would never do. Anyone else aready given in?

Bum rushing the charts….. Well it came and went. Decent results all over the world. I did my part, sent a few songs to people, some of which were terribly inappropriate given the topic of the song but sent none the less. Also sent one to Shawn so you people worried about stuff…. I donno if that helps.

Just an update. I am back in the Uk (have been since Sat). Not going to go to LA now. I needed to be here for my mother as my grandfather will not make it. I will be back Friday.

The idea is mainstream media (especially the music industry) still devalues…. You know let me use part of their blurb.

The basic plan is on March 22nd and not a minute before they and their alliance of podcasters and the like are intending on buying one song from itunes to drive it to number one. Sorta a spend 99 cents to stick it to the man.

I know what your thinking, this is exactly the sorta thing which I would normally meet with my personal brand of apathy, however the band they have chosen is Black Lab, a band which has always meant a great deal to me. While they have lightened on this cd a little it is still a fine piece of work, and has a rather riskey picture on the front. Therefore I am a big supporter of this social movement by side bar. Anyway check it out, if the social movement or the band interest you I would request a little help getting the word out. If not, no worries.

Ok this is what maybe going down... and it is a pretty weird and amazing thing.

As some of you know I put a site up for Black Lab my fav band. Ok I more project managed a site... I made a bunch of decisions for those who actully have talent but seem to be uncapable of doing so, which is a very much most of what I do.

Anyway the work got me a personal invite to the CD release party. Not as big as it sounds but they are holding a ticket of some form for me. Cool, however the downside is it is in LA and there is no way in hell I can afford anouther trip and pay for the hotel and living for that time.

Now it turns out that the head of my security company (as mentioned in the last post)is flying down to LA at the same time with Hurricane Carter, and is offering to let me crash with him in the Beverly Hills Four Fucking Seasons free and feed me and such. The 4 seasons is about 4 miles form where I need to be and I would have limited access to the limo to take me to and from... sweet jebus!

I donno if I can get the flight cash together but god damn... pays to be famous I guess.

I am now clearly famous.

Well... here is the thing. I am flying off to England Wed, to find a girl which I do not know where she is, just to make sure she is ok. I figure England is not a very big place. I can find her.

I don't know if she will want to see me though..... so there maybe a stalker element here.... I donno. This will either be a spectacular victory or a spectacular failure. Either way it will be spectacular and win or lose I am gonna have a hell of a story about my journey 1/2 way around the world for this girl I have never really met who lives in parts unknown.

I do not really have the money for this trip. There may be days of not eating if this goes badly. =/ BUT there in lies some of the fun. I really don't know what compels me to do these things.

If you care to wish me luck, and perhaps a shake of the head, but more on the luck, it would be welcome! I will also take letters of reference =)

People has been calling me a numbers person lately. So inevitably someone begged the question which number represents me the most. 42 is the obvious one however it is as over used and worn out as a Dylan Thomas poem. 6 is also a favorite, because it answers many questions and is “quite a lot really”. 1 plays to my ego but again suffers for a terminal case of cliché and obviousness. However I came across the number today, a friendly reminder of times past which most defiantly represents me.

The number is five million three hundred and eighteen thousand and eight. This number encompasses my financial side, some intelligence, juvenile humor AND interest in the pretty ones. Therefore in case you were one of the many wondering that is my number.

P.S. Within seconds of posting this I was sent a message saying I was being to cryptic. The answers lie in the numbers 5,318,008. Careful now, once you understand you may regret it, perhaps this is a time to pick ignorance as a life choice.

Its has happened, the end of the world is nigh. Many of you have been spared thus far but I have come into the knowledge that the abyss sits among us. I do not know how late I am with this information, but today I say it. For those who are blissfully unsure of what I am speaking of it is this

This is a box that even Pandora would not have opened. It represents the final doomsday weapon, or at very least placed all the greatest doomsdays devices in one easily accessible case. In one stroke this promises to halt society as they perpetually wait one more turn before returning to work. Many will die for lack of nourishment, unaware days if not weeks have passed and they thwart French onslaught after onslaught.

After seeing it I was forced to do my part and remove this one from the public, in hopes that another may be spared. I am a veteran of this battle, having dealt with it for many years and I worry todays softer youth will not survive. If I call out for someone to join me out of desperation please ignore my pleas, it is for your own good. Know this. I love you all.

I am beginning to think that the internet will be my downfall. I just don’t think I play well here. Its like people do not “get” me when I am all digatized. A major part of my humor, or at least one part of it, is over the top ego. I present this in a way that everyone is at least 90% sure I am kidding but there is still some room for doubt. Heh like The Mighty Fu asked “Is it possible for us to have a conversation without you coming up?”…. To quote the ninja “Kids, anything is possible….. but its not likely.” Somewhere along the way on the net I lose my “harmlessness” and I am not sure how to get that across here.

Frankly I do not like it, as we move forward into this faceless society I find it getting harder and harder. A little bit of an ego thing here I do consider myself charming, but again not on the net. Which could have something to do with the lack of literacy thing, /shrug.

On another and just as important topic I think something needs to be done about Australia. You know what Canada’s major export is to Australia? Women. Seriously. I now know 6(!) women who in their early 20s went to Australia for a year or two and what do we get back? Lets put it this way its been a long time since Paul Hogan did anything worthwhile. Fosters? Fosters is crap, they do not even drink it in Australia, its like Australias joke on the rest of the world. From what I have seen, and I say this with some pride, Canadian girls are in fact some of the best in the world. They run a balance that the other countries don’t, yet we are sending them away during some of their important hot years to an island descended from criminals. I am not gonna lie more then once I have felt the pull to go there myself, feed some babies to wild dogs, as my understanding of their culture goes, but it is not the same.

I am thinking we need to address this issue in the next election. I would run but my sympathies to Ken and the AUFM (Association for Undead Famine Relief) kinda makes me politically unviable, plus I do not think my sex tapes film quality will be good enough once they come out to make any money. However THAT can be worked on.

On a good note however, there has been some serious progress on the Black Lab music front which has me pretty happy. Those who do not know them... you need to check em out.

Life…. Forget life I have something important to talk about.

Star wars Trans-fucking-formers. I just saw a commercial for this and my initial reaction we appalled. I mean the falcon turns into robot Han and Chewee. When I stopped reacting and took a moment to try to articulate my thoughts beyond that of a primal scream or warcry of sorts I found that my initial disgust was difficult to maintain.

In my first mental statement the term mecha – chewee came up. I had problems not smiling at this, in fact a have problems not smiling at mechs in general. I mean I love star wars, and I love transformers….. So despite my initial hatred I have come to accept this as an education playset. It is an easy way to introduce children to the Star Wars universe as well as the mecha lifestyle at a young age, (apparently this bad boy is for 5 up). I think both have been lacking in the current educational system, thanks to the lying pretty boy in office…. Assuming he is…. I donno I have not had a chance to check news lately, news that is not star wars related.

So this has me thinking…. What else can be combined in such a way, I am heavily in to battlestar lately so I am going to over the next 20 minutes, before I have to go to work, write the best episode ever 3 seasons down the road.

** EDIT I have gotten an e-mail about this. If you have not seen the show, basically its about people in a ridiculously hard circumstance making the hardest decisions the writers can throw at them. They are not "good" people or "bad" people just people. This is what I am keep eluding to, the need to be macovelean (no idea how to spell that), not some deep rooted hatred towards babies or anything like that. Watch the show and you will understand.**

Been a long day, and I don’t just mean that in the 14 hour sense, which was how long I was at the Bear. Today I fired someone, he had been there 6.5 years, and simply was not adapting to the change. The problem was this guy had some serious anger management issues. I had already spoken to him on two occasions.

The staff were starting to tell me they did not want to work with him, he was making customers uneasy and actually ripped my visa terminal from the wall! There is not doubt in my mind he deserved it, though so much of what I fired him for I did not witness but was only hearsay. That seriously makes me uncomfortable, but I started talking to independent customers and I got the same story from three non related people not including staff. Hard as it was it was the right move.

During our final talk though he threatened me and the store physically. He has been band from the place but has not returned his keys. Luckily his pay cheque is also there so he has to return his keys before he can have it. Further since he has been band from the store, so it will be a difficult time doing the exchange. The bouncer there tonight knows not to let him in, so at least my staff is protected, and man this guy is a freakin mountain. Though the guy I fired is pretty big himself…. Been a long day.

Its 4:20, I got a call about 15 mins ago. "Hello sir, we have a report of an Alram at the Bear and Firkin, the back door has been opened and we have motion in the back moving to the front of the building, do you want me to call the police?" Man that was scary stuff. I told them no and flew in trying to wake what little kung fu I have up (I don't happen to have any ninjas here yet.) I was the cleaners, they got messed up because we put in a new machine today.

I got my kung fu all set up and everything. Anyway I am a little strung out now. Hopefully sleep will come soon.

This is James, some of you may be wondering what has been going on with me, so I figure I will simply post everywhere I can think of with the fast and easy answer.  (Sorry if you get hit with cross posts.)  I will try to keep it shortish, more details on request.

1) I bought a pub!!!  http://i19.photobucket.com/albums/b185/jamespicton/DSCN0538.jpg   Its in Pickering, take the 401 to Brock road.  Then a left on Kingston and it will be on your right.  (same area as a Rogers.)  It is amazing but very very time consuming.  Come one come all and visit. =)  Any help would be appreciated, money is crazy tight obviously, so I will have to extend my apology before hand for not comping things.  Anyway, 1550 Kingston Rd, hope to see you there.

Quick little update thingy. I went looking for places in Pickering / Ajax yesterday, I decided I needed to be closer to the Pub, much closer then I originally thought, and who wants to live in Scarborough? Nobody that’s who, bunch of punks…. *shakes fist*

Anyway I came up with a bunch o nothing, checking out the apartment buildings in the area. I even went to the wrong side of the tracks and man seriously in Pickering there is a very wrong side of the tracks. It goes from very affluent lots of green space happy tree world to no green space getting closer to slums as soon as you cross the track. Admittedly I only looked at part of Pickering down here but I figure I want to live with the “have” people in the north.

I digress. I had just given all up and was about to forsake windows and start looking at basement apartments when I saw a neat little area. It was called “historic Pickering” Though truth be told it is actually in Ajax. There was a gorge there with a river, a wonderful amount of greenspace and a pioneer grave yard. There was cute old shops and a “courtyard” they call it. Basically it is a village square for those of you familiar with Burlington, though it is far more old more renaissance style. I wandered around there for a bit enjoying the whole atmosphere of the place. That is when I noticed the apartments above the shops. A quick sweep and I discover one empty with a sign.

The place is in biking distance to the pub so everything seemed perfect. So much character and the like. There was a but though. When he finally called me back it turns out that these things were a lot bigger then I figured. 2 stories, living room, dining room, kitchen, 3 bedrooms and full bath and a regular bathroom. That just floored me. Which brings me to the point, do I like this place enough for a roommate. I know what you are saying “James you hate people”. I do hate people, people suck. I can possibly forsee this conversation.

Shawn: “Dude its 4 in the morning”
James: “SHAWN… shawn… I need you do help me ummm dispose of a body.
Shawn: “Fuck not again”.

On the other hand it is pretty kick ass fancy, I mean according to the limited research these buildings are authentic 1800’s building which have been updated without changing the arcutecture. I will take more pictures. I am going back to look at it again, because I am enamored with it. I may need to be talked down though, after all I am bad for not getting what I want. =) It seems pretty necessary right now to move that far away so it is unfortunate I will be putting some additional time between me and those in the Armpit and surrounding area. (Hamilton / Burlington). The Go bus however stops right in front and it is only like 20 mins form the Cat house because it is not to far from the high way. Toronto is always broken, it is simply not car friendly I am pretty much through driving in it.

I have not even met the ½ a fu that lives there now. Speaking of the Fu, I am going to see BMG with him on Sat. Been a long time since I have seen that guy. I think of him every time I say F.U. to someone. Ever since the realization of the acrogm (which I dumbly missed for a while, until a conversation with Carly a few months back) So now whenever I say it all I am thinking is “Joffu tear his arms off” and get all excited about the promised collection of gate keys. (Oh Princess Bride how you have saved me from Star Wars references.)

So Black Lab has new stuff out. Its pretty good, not as good but pretty good. Though I have not going to post lyrics… as that will be a crime that will send me to the 7th level of lj hell. Others include constant whineing, large non cut pictures and quiz posting.
